New Project...
Okay, I'm working on a new project right now--I already mentioned it to Lisa on the phone briefly--about a sweet widow who runs a non-profit long-term doggie daycare for troops deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. I was doing research this morning and ran across this video. I bawled like a baby! Had to share...

Okay...that is one of the cutest things I have ever seen. That black collie was so adorable...and I love that he was picking hair out of his mouth...welcome home Daddy!!! We missed you. And I am so much stronger than you...I only used one hankie:)
Yeah--everyone's tougher than me on this one. I shared with Lonnie and Justin, and while both agreed that it was sweet, they looked at me like I'd grown a second head when I started bawling and laughing at the same time...again.
Must be hormones... :)
Isn't it funny how some things hit us at different times? Oddly my story is about an animal as well...
While Mom was here, I was driving to get Maisey with Mom and Brad in the car (I think we were going to Brad's concert.) Anyway, a pitch black small kitten ran across the road from this area back here that is open toward the housing they are tearing down. The temps were in the well below 0s and I slammed on the brakes. I stopped the car, opened the door, and started yelling "here kitty, kitty, kitty" which, of course, scared the poor thing to death. I got back in the car, found a spot on the abandoned road, and got out of the car again. I searched for that cat for almost ten minutes. I got back in the car and frantically looked up and down the next three streets and swinging back again. The entire time tears were streaming down my face while I thought of that poor cat, all alone, trying to find some place warm, clearly young but afraid of people.
I couldn't stop thinking about the cat and it was finally my wise son saying sweetly from the back seat, "Mom it has been so cold the past week and the cat is still okay so it must have some place to stay warm. It'll be okay Mom." And he was right of course. And I couldn't find the cat anyway because as anyone with cats knows, they hide very well.
So I stopped the search for the kitten but I still search the black spots in the snow hoping that tiny little cat has found its home, even if it's not mine.
